Adult Driving Lessons
For anyone over the age of 18, we offer adult driving lessons too. People over the age of 18 are not required by the State of Ohio to take driving lessons, but lessons can very helpful to adults with very limited experience, knowledge or skills. We can focus the lessons to the areas in which you need help. Just like the teens, you must have a valid Ohio Temporary Learner's Permit and sign a training agreement. Adult lessons are billed by the hour with each lesson consisting of at least 2 hours behind the wheel, additional fees may apply for those outside our primary service area. Online Adult Remedial Course offered by Too Cool Driving School
This is the first State of Ohio approved online adult remedial course.
Reasons for needing to take the course:
Do you have a Suspended License in Ohio?
When you receive points on your driver's license for a traffic violation, they remain on your record for two years.
- If you accumulate 12 points within 2 years, your license will be suspended for six months.
- You can appeal a suspension if you file the appeal before the suspension date starts. Once it starts, you won't be able to do anything else.
- You are required to complete the Ohio Adult Remedial Course before you can have your license reinstated.
POINT REMOVAL FOR TRAFFIC TICKET IN OHIO
If you have started to accumulate points on your license, you can use our Ohio Adult Remedial course to remove 2 points from your record.
- A remedial driving course can only remove 2 points from your driving record.
- You can only take the course once every 3 years.
- You can only take the course 5 times in your lifetime.
- The course is eight hours.

Abbreviated Adult Lessons
An applicant for an initial driver's license, who is age 18 or older and who fails the first attempt at the maneuverability or road portion of the driving test, is required to take an abbreviated adult driver training course before attempting the driving test for a second time. The course will consist of one of 4 hours of online instruction.
